I am a huge fan of Cynthia Kadohata and this book did not disappoint. As a matter of fact, I read it all in one sitting! Jaden, a struggling adopted boy, travels with his parents to Kazakhstan to adopt a baby. His attachment issues are tested as he connects with the orphans in the orphanage and longs to make sense of his life and the relationship he has with this parents. Not as powerful as “The thing About Luck,” but a wonderful story with great characters.
