Unstoppable Octobia May by Sharon G. Flake

In this mystery novel set in the 1950’s, feisty Octobia May tries to uncover the secrets of a boarder at her aunt’s boarding house, who she strongly believes is a vampire. All throughout this book, I kept thinking what a bizarre story it was. Not until the end do things start to make a little more sense and the story becomes somewhat worthwhile. I did not enjoy this book, and even found a few parts that I felt were slightly inappropriate for the age group.
